Protecting and sustainably investing in this irreplaceable ecosystem is crucial, as it represents a unique opportunity to balance global environmental preservation with cross-regional economic development.<\/p><p><b>Congo Basin Blue Fund (CBBF)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an African-led sustainable development mechanism created by the <\/span><b>Congo Basin Climate Commission (CCBC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It aims to help 17 member countries (<strong>Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, South Sudan, Morocco, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Angola, Burundi, Chad, Rwanda and Tanzania<\/strong>) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shift their economies away from deforestation toward the sustainable &#8220;blue economy&#8221;\u2014harnessing the Congo River, its tributaries, and water-related ecosystems.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_custom_1580919140809\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fund is the main financial instrument established by the Commission to accelerate the ecological transition in Central and East Africa.
