Rapid forest cover loss &#8211; estimated at 250,000 to 350,000 hectares annually &#8211; threatens regional biodiversity, alters weather patterns, and severely reduces water flow to major rivers like the Zambezi, Kafue, Mulungushi, and Mkushi.
