The Soyo Mangrove Nature Reserve Project is a flagship coastal conservation initiative dedicated to preserving and restoring vital mangrove ecosystems in northern Angola. Spanning 300 hectares in the Soyo region, the project addresses critical environmental threats -including human encroachment and coastal erosion- while building long-term ecological and community resilience.

By integrating strict habitat protection with sustainable infrastructure, the project establishes a framework for ecotourism, empowering local communities with sustainable livelihood opportunities. This intervention supports Angola’s broader environmental protection agenda and aligns with the strategic vision of the Blue Fund for sustainable marine and coastal ecosystem management.

Objectives
