Speech highlights by Ms. Cinthia Loïs TA, CEO, African Chamber of Commerce in Scandinavia (ACCS)

Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of ACCS, I would like to express our profound gratitude to the President of the Republic of the Congo and the President of the Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC) for granting us the opportunity to participate in this first donors’ round table on financing the Investment Plan for the Congo Basin Blue Fund.

The ACCS, whose mission is to promote business and investment opportunities between the Nordic countries and Africa, is delighted to actively contribute to the development of a sustainable and win-win partnership for the financing of priority development projects in the region.

To turn our support for the Congo Basin Blue Fund into concrete action, we will work in close collaboration with our technical and financial partners to mobilize the necessary resources and expertise toward the establishment of a 600 million USD envelope dedicated to financing the 63 selected priority projects. These funds can be mobilized in the form of donations, grants, concessional loans, or market-rate loans, according to terms to be mutually agreed upon later with the BDEAC.

On this occasion, ACCS commits to pursuing its efforts to attract new financial and technical partners, and to facilitate access to tailored funding sources for the Blue Fund projects that will contribute to climate resilience, economic growth, and the well-being of local populations.

Thank you for your attention and your commitment to a prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive Congo Basin.

Ms. TA’s remarks underscore ACCS’ dedication to driving climate finance, catalyzing Nordic-African collaboration, and turning strategic commitments into tangible support for the Blue Fund’s 63 priority projects.

Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo - In a landmark moment for climate action and sustainable development, the African Chamber of Commerce in Scandinavia (ACCS) today committed to mobilize substantial support for the Congo Basin Blue Fund, reinforcing the Nordic-Saharan partnership for a greener, more prosperous Central Africa.
